Hi, my name is Roderick Sidney, and I am a renal dialysis patient. In March of 2021, DoctorTajani and his team inserted a PD catheter in the abdominal cavity to permit dialysis fluid to be instilled into and then removed from the abdomen. In February of 2021, I caught Peritonitis a fungal infection in the inner abdominal wall that covers the organs within your abdomen. I went to STATEN ISLAND HOSPITAL on SEA VIEW AVE. To be treated for PERITONITIS. The doctors clearly stated that I am fully clear from having PERITONITIS, but the doctors weren't sure that they have gotten everything. They gave me pills, but they never remove the old PD catheter that contains the bacteria. I caught PERITONITIS again because they didn't get everything out. My stomach burst I had digestive problems, pelvis was inflamed due to the bacteria getting into peritoneal dialysis equipment used to treat people with kidney failure, which can cause infection. Getting rid of the infection took 10 to 14 days, Treatment usually involves being given antibiotics into a vein (intravenously). They place a feeding tube in my stomach through my nose to get into my stomach for surgery. My stomach lining was seriously damaged by the infection because they never fully got rid of the infection. While I was in surgery I caught COVID I didn't have COVID before I went to the hospital because they make us take the test before we can have any type of procedure, plus the treatment of COVID-19 took two weeks. The hospital bills were extra due to Covid-19, something that could have been avoided. The second time me being admitted I was in the hospital for two weeks already, and no one has said anything to me, as I was about to leave the hospital when they told my wife that I had caught COVID-19 cross-contamination on The floor that they place me on was a floor that contains COVID-19 people as while right across from my room. I have lost my sense of taste and eye vision. They never told me that I had COVID they told me on my last day I didn't come in with COVID. The hospital and the nurses, and the doctors are responsible for my injuries. They had to switch me over to Hemodialysis I had irregular beats, a shortage of breath, and irregular blood pressure I kept passing out from being on the dialysis machine. The doctor who did the procedure to my stomach had to place an AV Fistula for dialysis, and that got messed up and now they have to go back inside to fix what the doctor did. The doctor and his team had made the AV Fistula too small and the doctor who I now see has forced me to place Drug-Coated Balloon Angioplasty for Hemodialysis Fistula to make my Fistula grow, and it hasn't fully developed yet, and they have blown a vein and collapse my veins. I can't stretch my arm out, or able to lift anything up, every time I extend my arm it burns from the Fistula to the risk, and it affects my hand. My arm is swollen in my biceps and I have bruises veins and blood clots in my arm. This is all due to Doctor. Tajani. They never removed the original catheter, they left it in me while I was being treated until I developed a second infection with the old catheter during the initial infection. I have been on dialysis since March 2021. First I was on peritoneal. I caught two infections and was hospitalized both times. In November of 2021, they took the peritoneal catheter out and put a Tesio-Caths catheter in my neck temporally to do Hemo Dialysis. Then they put a catheter in my chest in November of 2021. In February 2022, They put a fistula in my arm for a more permanent solution. The doctor said that it did burst, and it was swollen and inflamed. It caused me to lose weight and have less of an appetite. Could not keep anything down. I had irregular blood pressure, shortness of breath, and pain in my stomach, causing me to pass out at times.I had severe belly pain that gets worse with any motion, nausea, and vomiting, my belly was swollen due to the fluid that was inside of me I was not able to have a bowel movement or pass gas, and Less urine than normal, trouble breathing, and low blood pressure and shock. I developed sepsis over a large part of my body which slowed down the blood flow that hurt my organs I had a fever and felt unwell, faint, weak, or confused. The sepsis spread and triggers my immune system. My heart and circulatory system begin to fail, and my blood pressure drops. My immune system was compromised as well with this infection my white blood cell count remained low, and I had chronic anemia, as well. My white blood cell count remained consistently low, and my lymphocyte count did the same, but my monocytes were elevated. The onset of a COVID infection last September was a factor due to my diagnosis of an auto-immune disease, the peritonitis was responsible for the catheter infection. I do not remember if they used other terms, there were so many doctors. On the day of the operation doctor, Tajani was in a rush to call the hospital to see if I was there because I was his first patient of the day the nurses and his team say that he is always like that and meanwhile he showed up late. They took me in and place the fistula in my arm, the nurses in the dialysis center says that it should have developed in four to six weeks following creation, and mines never develop. It has been almost a year since Doctor Tajani placed the AV Fistula in my arm. They had to do a Balloon Assisted Maturation of the Arteriovenous Fistula to get it to work the nurses and the doctors said that the fistula was too short for use and that it is not mature enough yet. They keep forcing me to use it, and they are having complications with the needles because it is too small, which made my vein blow and collapse. I am 47 years old. I have chronic heart failure and chronic kidney failure, high blood pressure. I am not working and have lost time due to these events. I live with my wife and son and now I receive Medicaid and Medicare. I am classified as disabled for almost a year since March 2021. Dr. Feroze Tejani, MD is a General Surgery Specialist in Staten Island, NY. He has performed all of my surgery. When I got sick the first time with peritonitis the catheter should have been removed to eradicate the infection so that it won't spread to other organs. Removing the dialysis catheter decreases the risk of subsequent intra-abdominal complications in refractory peritoneal peritonitis. They didn't remove the catheter that generated sepsis. The sepsis infection had spread quickly through my body my immune system are still down. In the first part of the clinical and hemodynamically they inserted the catheter in my neck to receive dialysis when they asked me for the removal of the PD catheter, I was in pain from having the catheter in my neck and they said that they were going to replace the PD catheter with a new PD catheter when they take the old one out of my stomach. Because of the peritonitis, I had fatal complications, sepsis causes a massive drop in my blood pressure, and organ failure still today, if they would have removed it the first time I would have had it the second time because it left traces of sepsis throughout my body that causes me to go back and forward to the hospital when I received dialysis. When they remove the catheter from my stomach they inserted a new catheter in my chest, reminding you that I still had sepsis in my body. Dr. Feroze Tejani placed that in my chest to get dialysis treatment. I caught two major infections that could have cost me my life. Dr. Feroze Tejani performs another operation on my arm to receive dialysis. Dr. Feroze Tejani place an AV Fistula in my arm he damage my arm when he perform the operation, he made the AV Fistula in the wrong position and he made the AV Fistula too narrow and short that caused an infiltration blow to my arm. Every time when the nurses insert the needle into my arm the needle dislodged from inside the vein fistula during a dialysis treatment, and it causes a burning sensational feeling like my arm is on fire, my veins are all damaged due to Dr. Feroze Tejani's operation. That's why I wanted to leave the one that was in my chest so that I won't be going through all of these differences. NOT THE ONE THAT WAS IN MY STOMACH. I WANTED THAT ONE OUT THAT CAUSES THE PERITONITIS, AND THE SEPSIS. On my last day when I was about to go home, they told my wife that I could not go home, because I had contracted COVID-19 through cross-contamination from the HOSPITAL I had to stay ten extra days they never said anything to me I was treated very unfairly. I have witnesses to confer my statement. I have an ongoing situation with my left arm where he place the AV Fistula. I am unable to use my arm due to the pain that it causes. He place it incorrectly and he made it too short and narrow and it's on a major vein in my arm. The nurse has had problems with me every time when I get my treatment I am in pain my arm feels like it is on fire the arm is very sensitive the slightest touch causes pain. I am not able to use my arm for anything. I have spoken to all of the nurses and doctors and they all said that it is the position of the AV Fistula and said that he is responsible for my arm. My arm is very sensitive and it cannot be touched, every time they go to use the AV Fistula I have problems with the slightest movement and burns the doctor should have never placed the AV Fistula in the location where he position it. He inserted it on a major muscle the bicep, between the Artery and the Bulged vein it burns as if my arm is on fire. It hurt to make a fist or to open my hands and wiggle my fingers. I have spoken to all of the doctors and nurses about my arm and they all say due to the HIPAA law they refuse to discuss the situation with me concerning my arm about another doctor in their line of work. It has been a year in a half since these procedures were done in 2022 January. I have sustained critical problems with the improper placement of the AV fistula when the fistula was installed there was a problem with the fistula never maturing that caused complications they had to insert an balloon in my veins to force the AV Fistula to work. The mapping of the AV Fistula wasn't carefully done right due to the size and length AV Fistula, it was too short and narrow that caused complications when the nurses insert the needle the needle infiltrate my veins which causes blood to dislodge from inside the vein during a dialysis treatment. When you have an infiltration, blood leaks outside of the fistula which causes swelling and pain in the area, and my veins are bruised, swollen, and very sensitive to touch. An AV Fistula may take up to six to four weeks to develop my Fistula never grow. I HAVE explored other repair options they said that this is the best option it is a new fistula type that this is something that I will have to get used to. YES, this will be permanent, because they refuse to move it. I feel like it can be fixed. This is my first fistula-type surgery. In 2021 of March I was placed on peritoneal dialysis and caught PERITONITIS since they never remove the PD catheter from my stomach it came back the second time they decided to remove the PD catheter from my stomach and placed an AV FISTULA in my arm in 2022 of January. I don't know the cause of my kidney failure These are two different types of cases one of them is PERITONITIS and the other is AV FISTULA one of them is in 2021 and the other one is in 2022 2022 is an ongoing situation with my arm, so there is plenty of time for this one. I know about the timeline. These are two different types of cases one of them is PERITONITIS and the other is an AV FISTULA I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO RECEIVE THE NEW TYPE OF VA FISTULA I WAS A TEST SUBJECT . FROM MY FISTULA DOWN TO MY HAND, I HAVE PAIN Any time when I go to have dialysis a single touch causes me to have pain when they insert the wrong needle inside my arm the needle infiltrates the AV FISTULA blood and escapes from the AV FISTULA inside my arm and causing a burning sensation in my arm leaving my veins to be blown and claps damaging my veins in my arm. I have explained this to the nurses and doctors and technicians contentiously, even the technician says that the AV FISTULA is too short and narrow the needle is placed on top of one another and the needles shouldn't be inserted in that position, but they're saying that they don't have any other way to insert the needles. At the time of my surgery on 1/6/2022, I suffer from renal failure and I need an AV FISTULA placed on my arm I told the doctors ahead of time that I have poor veins in both of my arms. Dr. FEROZE TEJANI had asked me do I want him to place the AV FISTULA in my wrist or in my forearm and then he said that he will try the wrist first if that doesn't work he will place it in my forearm I was forced to get an AV FISTULA in my arm due to all of the infection from the PERITONITIS, and I still going through the problem with having septic infection throughout my body. First I was on Peritoneal Dialysis, and then Hemodialysis doing the transaction I still had a serious septic infection going on they insert a TESLA in my chest to receive Dialysis, and that got infected due to the septic with was going toward my heart that I could have DIED FROM, so they remove the TESLA and they insert a new TESLA in my chest and that got infected which made them to force the AV FISTULA to mature by inserting a balloon in my arm so that they can gain access to my arm. Dr. FEROZE TEJANI knew about the stenosis in the mid-cephalic vein and the narrowing in the mid-cephalic vein there was evidence of this problem Dr. FEROZE TEJANI knew that he made the AV FISTULA two short and narrow doing the time of the procedure and this is what causes my arm to be infiltrated by the needles that the nurse's users that burn my arm at the same time destroying my veins causing my arm to be in pain all of the time. They never tried to correct the issue and I complain all of the time to everyone and all they say is that in due time things are going to get better.
