SOLVED:

We are sorry to hear about your situation. Dealing with legal matters can be stressful and complicated. Here are some steps that you could take:

  1. Identify the type of trust fund: The first step in finding out what happened to your father's trust funds is to identify the type of trust. There are different types of trust funds, including irrevocable and revocable trusts. Depending on the type of trust, the rules and regulations may vary.

  2. Contact the lawyer who handled your father's trust fund: Try to reach out to the lawyer who handled your father's trust fund. Explain the situation to them and ask for the documents related to the trust fund. If they cannot provide the documents, ask for an explanation as to why.

  3. Consult with another lawyer: If the lawyer who handled your father's trust fund cannot provide the necessary documents or an explanation, consider consulting with another lawyer. They may be able to help you identify additional steps you can take to find out what happened to the trust fund.

  4. File a complaint: If you believe that the lawyer mishandled the trust fund, you may need to file a complaint with the state bar. Check with your state bar association to see what your options are.

It's important to note that these steps may take time, effort, and money. However, finding out what happened to your father's trust funds could be worth it in the long run. Best of luck to you.
